Walking Route; Backwell 7 Miles, Bristol

This is a lovely 7 mile circular route, linking up a few of the footpaths and by ways that Backwell has to offer. When we first walked, in early March, there was no livestock. I think a few of the fields may be sheep fields but I’m not too sure, so take care if walking in the warmer months. There was one field with goats in that is well fenced and adjacent to one of the footpaths. A house near the beginning also has free range chickens.

There’s a great mixture of woodland, tracks, and open fields in this walk, with a few short sections of road walking.

The route took us around 2.40 hours. You can park at the end of Long Lane where there is road side parking. This route is pretty quiet so could be good for reactive dogs.
