This is a lovely route following the river for half of the route, and then up through some farmland towards Stoney Littleton Long Barrow which is an old tomb which is pretty interesting if you like your history. There are great views from this point, then you head back down a bridleway to come back round to the path along the river again to finish. There aren’t too many spots for the dogs to get in for a swim along the river but it is still very beautiful and quiet. We passed a lot of adjacent horse fields, and walked through one field with sheep in. The route is just under 3 miles long. There is free parking in the village car park, the postcode is BA2 SQB.
