This walk is lovely and rural, with lots of green in the warmer months. You can park on the roadside near St Lawrence Church (BA2 9HT). There are a few fields with cattle in, though they weren’t bothered by us, particularly the ones near the university (they even had calves!). There are a couple of steep inclines and a few short sections of road walking, one of which is down a very thin lane so take care with dogosaurs. The route shown can be shortened by turning left after you come out of the footpaths after the university, but this will mean a slightly longer stretch of road walking.
